In the summer of 2024, IKEA will open three new shop-in-mall concept stores in the United Arab Emirates to make IKEA more accessible. The new stores will be closer than ever, so close that people can walk there. However, customers will still need to transport their goods home. So why not let them borrow the shopping carts?

#IKEAHACKS

#IKEAhacks

In recent years, people have been sharing IKEA hacks, demonstrating new uses for IKEA furniture – a trend that is only growing. So, we created a campaign for collections IKEA themselves never made.

IKEA has a large range of smart products that they wanted to promote, ranging from smart lighting to Wi-Fi speakers. When the competitors get geeky and show off their advanced technology, we wanted to show off a real product benefit of their smart lighting – the impressive wow factor which allows you to enjoy the mood of places far beyond your home.

We also install IKEA smart lighting in bus shelters and let people enjoy the real experience using a touch screen where they can control the light.

EXHAUSTING FUN

The purpose of this idea was to act as a push/follow-up for IKEA Qatar's new family experience, Play Trail. Hunt foxes, dance under the sea, explore space, paint, cook, jump, and laugh - all in one day, all in one place. That feels like more than enough to drain our children's boundless energy, which brings us to one reason that will convince parents to bring their children to the new IKEA playground: their little ones will sleep well afterwards.
